To that end, I leverage my experience with corporate clients of all sizes, on both sides of the negotiating table to offer clients insight into their business decisions. Background
Boris is an engineer and lawyer by training and has spent his career working on high-stakes intellectual property and other commercial disputes.
In addition to providing traditional in-house counsel functions, Boris provides his clients with substantial experience in fund management and monitoring, IP valuation, economic modeling, buy-side due diligence, commercial damages assessments, and patent landscaping & analytics.
Exemplary Prior Engagements:
Designed, aggregated and implemented a bespoke fund report to monitor granular investment results to give fund client visibility into performance and enhance future investment.
Created investment memoranda and economic models of projected investment expectations for a $200M+ secondary offering,
Performed valuation exercises for various IP portfolios.
Acted as a valuation agent for IP portfolios.
Performed patent due diligence and economic modeling in advance of anticipated investment.
Mined patent portfolios for potential litigation targets.
Performed General Counsel duties, such as contract review, policy drafting, and template management.
Directed teams involved in preparing dozens of expert witness reports in US & international litigation and arbitration; he also acted as the IP practice lead for patent analytics, contributing substantially to industry-leading efforts to use analytics to effectively evaluate Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) and to determine the appropriate royalty rates for SEP patent pools.
Established, designed, and implemented a SAAS platform to onboard, monitor, and report on bespoke middle market loan agreements.
Managed teams of over 200 real estate professionals in mortgage re-underwriting cases.
